At FlareVM, we believe that a good backup system is a critical component of any hosting offers. Therefore, we have developed our own proprietary solution, which achieves the following goals:

FlareBackup is our automated Virtual Server backup and snapshotting system.

The service has got two core elements:

• an internal automated backup system which makes daily copies of each VPS
• an interactive control panel that allows our clients to manage the automatic backups and take further independent snapshots.

All FlareVM VPS are saved on a daily basis with a data retention period of 7 days. This means that any of the last 7 backups can be restored at any time.

The main features are:

• Each VPS has got available backups of the last 7 days.
• In addition to the backup system, each VPS has an additional backup slot for user-managed snapshots.
• All operations are managed through our control panel FlarePanel.
• The creation of a snapshot does not require the VPS to be shutdown.
• Backups can be connected to the VPS in order to retrieve a single file, if necessary.
• For customers having more than one VPS, backups can be restored to another VPS in the same account. It is basically possible to clone a system with a few quick clicks.
